Interfaces and networking
OPAN is a technically advanced and revolutionary system. We strive to bring a greater level of networking to health care, and we are very interested in creating interfaces with other platforms.
REST API for persons providing referrals (KIS and PIS)
OPAN offers a fully or partly integrable interface (API) that can directly connect your own specialized software (KIS) with the OPAN platform. By using the interface, the time needed to fill out an application can be significantly reduced.
We welcome specialized software developers that would like to implement a fully integrated API. The API allows an application to be submitted completely without the need to use a web GUI. The API allows for partial applications to be submitted. The remaining information can then be either provided via either the GUI or API at a later time. The API provides you with a temporary link for partially completed applications that you can use later to enter additional data in the form. Furthermore, the API provides you with the ability to submit data later. You can use the API to retrieve the status of an application as well as the fields that were submitted and a report about the application in PDF format, which can then be deposited in the patient's file.
To allow you to test queries directly online, we first need to issue you a test token. Please ask us for a test access.
REST API for recipients (nursing home specialized applications)
On the recipient side, OPAN offers a REST interface for nursing home specialized applications that can be implemented at any time by your specialized application software developer. We are currently actively expanding these interfaces. We are constantly striving to develop these interfaces and to ensure backwards compatibility.
The entire API specification can be consulted by anyone who is so interested, and it can be queried directly in the online API documentation.
URL Parameter Interface (UPI) for referring physicians (KIS and PIS)
The UPI is seen as a "pragmatic" solution and can be implemented at small expense. It only functions unidirectionally and yet, thanks to the parameterization of the individual fields, most of the form can often be pre-filled.
Only data can be transmitted with the UPI. Documents must be attached to the application manually in the browser. As a rule, the subject application calls up a URL which is configured with prescribed parameters and values. OPAN checks these data and transfers them into the appropriate fields on the application form. After that, the application must be completed in the browser.
A technical description and documentation for the UPI parameters is available upon request.
